Bilal Zahoor
Bilal Zahoor is the founder and editorial director of Folio Books and the leading editor of two books: Rethinking Pakistan: A 21st-Century Perspective (Anthem Press, 2020) and Politics, Economy and Society: Essays on Pakistan and Beyond (Folio Books, 2023). He is currently a PhD student in Social and Political Thought (SPT) at York University, Canada. Before joining SPT, he was teaching philosophy and ecology at the Department of Liberal Arts, Beaconhouse National University, Lahore. His doctoral research concerns eco-Marxism, anti-colonialism and the Global South. Zahoor occasionally contributes to The Philosophical Salon, New Politics, The Ecologist, Monthly Review and Dawn. He is also a member of Haqooq-e-Khalq Party, a grassroots democratic and anti-capitalist project. Saeed Husain
An anthropologist by training, Saeed joined Folio in early 2023 after completing an MPhil in Social Anthropological Research (Distinction) from the University of Cambridge. Outside Folio, Saeed is also a visiting faculty member (most recently at the Aga Khan University) and regularly consults for development projects. Adil Zahoor
Adil Zahoor is an Associate Editor of Folio Books. He is currently a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He’s intellectually interested in sociology of development, political economy, and environmental sociology. Before joining UIUC, Adil was a lecturer in the School of Liberal Arts at the University of Management and Technology, Lahore. Adil occasionally writes for The News.
